This facility is a well-established healthcare center providing comprehensive neonatal intensive care services to the Hattiesburg community. The hospital features a 10-bed NICU department with advanced technology and a collaborative team environment focused on delivering exceptional care to newborns with critical needs.
Opportunity:
Physician - Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Job Details:
• Provide neonatal intensive care services with approximately 3-5 patient encounters per shift • Work in a Level III NICU environment with comprehensive support systems • Manage both invasive (ETT) and non-invasive ventilation (BiPAP/CPAP, neo-puff) • Experience with nitric oxide (iNO) therapy required • Perform newborn and pediatric ventilation management for both acute and chronic cases • Skilled in procedures including intubation, central line placement, arterial lines, UVC, UAC • Conduct diagnostic/therapeutic procedures including lumbar puncture, paracentesis, thoracentesis • Insert chest tubes and perform needle pneumothorax decompression when needed • Attend high-risk C-sections as required • Interpret X-rays and EKGs • Experience with PA catheter placement and exchange transfusions • Manage hemodialysis catheter placement • Evaluate and manage acute volume/BP issues • Board Certification required with current PALS certification • Must have active Mississippi license or be eligible for licensure through IMLC • Estimated credentialing timeframe is 7 days • Fellowship: 3 years

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
