Facility:
This facility features a Level 4 NICU with 52 beds, providing the highest level of neonatal intensive care. The hospital is a Level 2 trauma center offering comprehensive pediatric services with strong support systems including NPs on site during the day and on call at night.
Opportunity:
Physician - Pediatrics - Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Job Details:
• Looking for 1-2 providers to provide a minimum of 7 shifts per month • 24-hour in-house shifts (5am-5am) with access to on-site call room • Start date in June with potential for earlier start if privileging is completed • Manage approximately 38 patient encounters per shift • Daily responsibilities include patient rounding, creating care plans through Epic documentation • Attend high-risk deliveries, perform procedures, and complete perinatal consults • May occasionally have medical students or residents shadowing (limited basis) • Preferred candidates will have 5+ years of experience • Must be comfortable with Level II/III NICU care • Required skills include ventilation management (invasive/non-invasive), nitric oxide use • Must perform chest tube insertions, exchange transfusions, diagnostic/therapeutic taps • Experience with lumbar punctures, paracentesis, thoracentesis required • Circumcision skills required • CV surgery cases are referred out for intervention • Must have active TX License and DEA • Board Certification required • NRP certification required • 90-day estimated credentialing timeframe
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
