Neonatology Physician Job Details
- Location: Wichita, KS
- Facility Setting: Level III NICU (60 beds)
- Start Date: November 17, 2025
- End Date: February 16, 2026
- Shift Schedule: 24-hour in-house coverage (12-hour rotating shifts)
- Monthly Shifts: 4-5
- Estimated Weekly Hours: 36
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (extension possible)
Neonatology Physician Qualifications
- Board Certified Neonatologist (MD/DO) – neonatology jobs
- Active Kansas medical license or IMLC eligibility
- Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in neonatology
- At least 6 months of recent clinical experience within the neonatology specialty
- Clinically active within the past year
- Ongoing availability preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive neonatal care in a Level III NICU setting
- Provide 24-hour in-house coverage, collaborating with residents and nurse practitioners
- Manage all neonatal services except ECMO and heart surgery
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and communicate effectively with families and healthcare staff
- Ensure patient safety and maintain high standards of quality care
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
