Job description ### Neonatologist Opportunity in Topeka, KS Location: Topeka, KS Specialty: Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Setting: Inpatient (Level III NICU) --- ### Position Details Position Type: Full-time, Permanent NICU Level: Level III Beds: 36 Average Daily Census: 26 patients Team Composition: 5 Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs) Schedule: Full range of neonatal intensive care coverage, including days, nights, and weekends (rotating) On-Call: Required, shared among providers EMR: Not specified --- ### Responsibilities Provide comprehensive neonatal care for critically ill newborns in a Level III NICU Manage advanced neonatal therapies, including: - High-Frequency Ventilation - Inhaled Nitric Oxide - Total Body Cooling - Amplitude-Integrated EEG (aEEG) Collaborate with subspecialty teams in Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, and Endocrinology Work within a multidisciplinary team providing continuous NICU coverage Participate in hospital and departmental meetings as needed --- ### Requirements Board Status: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine License: Active KS license or willing to obtain Certifications Required: DEA (must be obtained prior to start) Experience: Fellowship-trained in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Malpractice/License History: Clean record highly preferred Visa: J1 candidates accepted --- ### Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $275K – $360K (commensurate with experience) Bonus Program: Lucrative incentive structure with a first-year guarantee of $50K Insurance: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage Retirement Plans: 401(k) with employer matching and Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP, 15% discount) Additional Benefits: - Fertility and family-building benefits (Progyny) - Livongo Diabetes Management - Teladoc and Second Opinion Services - Life, AD&D, and disability coverage - HSA and FSA accounts - Paid parental leave and FMLA - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) - [Register to View] support and various employee discounts --- ### Support & Supervision Subspecialty Support: Cardiology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Hematology, Endocrinology Team-Based Care: Collaborative model with physicians and NNPs L&D Department: On-site with full neonatal coverage --- ### Additional Information Topeka offers a vibrant, affordable lifestyle with easy access to nearby university towns Excellent professional growth opportunities within a supportive medical community Candidate must not have previously applied directly to the facility --- Permanent Opportunity | Neonatology – Topeka, KS Start Date: Negotiable Type: Full-time, Inpatient
