Location: Fargo, North Dakota

Facility: The facility features a Level III NICU with 14 private rooms equipped with accommodations for parents/guardians, including an in-house Ronald McDonald respite area for families. The state-of-the-art campus includes an in-house NICU transport team and serves a large regional service area consisting of 25 Clinics & 7 Hospitals.

Opportunity: Neonatology - Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant

Job Details:

  • Full-time position (1.0 FTE equals minimum 160 hours/month or averaging thirteen 12-hour shifts)
  • 12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm; rotating between day and night shifts as team grows
  • Average daily census of 8 patients
  • Ability to care for babies transitionally or acutely ill at 23-week gestation
  • Preferred skills include: intubation, chest tube placement, umbilical line placement, PICC placement, peripheral arterial line placement, LPs
  • Responsibilities include Vermont Oxford Data input and interpretation
  • Will work independently with physician on-call availability for questions or emergent assessment
  • New graduates considered with background in Neonatology and/or clinical rotation in NICU
  • New graduates will receive team orientation approach with existing Advanced Practice Clinicians and Physicians
  • Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish positive relationships with patients, families, and colleagues
  • Master's or Doctorate degree in Nurse Practitioner or Bachelor's/Master's degree in Physician Assistant from an accredited program required
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse (if NP) and as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in appropriate state
  • Current CPR and NRP certification required
  • National certification in applicable area required

Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
