Med Ninjas is seeking a Neonatologist for long term permanent coverage at a inpatient facility in Alexandria, Louisiana
The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from TBD to ongoing

Shift: 7-on/7-off schedule with daytime rounds and home call after rounds

Position Details:
Patient Population: Premature and critically ill newborns; newborn nursery patients
Setting: 34-bed Level III NICU
Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive neonatal care, conduct daily rounds, manage patient care plans, oversee and support 24/7 in-house NNP coverage, participate in home call after daily rounds, manage newborn nursery rounds, and support approximately 1,500–2,000 annual deliveries
Required Procedures: Advanced neonatal care; specific procedures not separately specified
EMR System: Not specified
Support Staff: 2 Neonatologists, 4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, including 24/7 in-house NNP coverage and an NNP-led transport team
Days Per Month: Full-time, 7-on/7-off
On-Call/Weekends: Home call after daily rounds; 24-hour responsibility during assigned week, including weekends
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatology
- Louisiana Medical License or willingness to obtain
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days, DEA required prior to start, and visa support requirement must be specified
