Med Ninjas is seeking a Neonatologist for long term permanent coverage at a inpatient facility in Kansas City, Missouri
The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from TBD to ongoing
Permanent Neonatologist
Position Type: Permanent
Specialty: Physician - Neonatology
Location: Missouri.
Rate: Open & Negotiable
Shift: In-house NICU coverage with 24/7 neonatal nurse practitioner support
Start Date: TBD
End Date: Ongoing
Position Details:
Patient Population: Critically ill and premature neonates, including extremely low gestational age newborns
Setting: 49-bed Level IIIB NICU, with support for a 15-bed Level IIIA NICU, growing Level II NICU, and well-baby care units
Responsibilities: Provide in-house neonatal care, manage critically ill neonates, attend to extremely premature infants, collaborate with board-certified neonatologists and NNPs, participate in regional delivery services, neonatal care coordination, telehealth-supported out-of-house coverage, and quality improvement initiatives
Required Procedures: Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO), high-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV), high-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV), therapeutic hypothermia, and advanced neonatal care
EMR System: Not specified
Support Staff: Board-certified neonatologists, Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, nurses, and multidisciplinary support staff
Days Per Month: Full-time
On-Call/Weekends: Continuous 24/7 NICU coverage including weekends; out-of-house coverage supported by telehealth and NNPs
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
- Missouri Medical License or willingness to obtain
- Clean Malpractice/License History highly preferred
- Most recent NPDB Self Query Report within 30 days; DEA required prior to start; specify whether visa support is required
