Job description Seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Neonatologist to provide high-quality clinical care in a well-established 32-bed Level III community NICU with an average daily census of 12 newborns. The role involves collaboration with pediatric subspecialty teams to manage complex neonatal cases, participation in newborn services, and contribution to quality improvement initiatives. This is a permanent, full-time position in the scenic South Bay region of Los Angeles County.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care for critically ill and premature newborns in a Level III NICU.
• Collaborate with pediatric surgery, cardiology, gastroenterology, ENT, and other subspecialists.
• Participate in family counseling and support, ensuring compassionate communication.
• Engage in quality improvement programs, including California Perinatal Quality Care Collaborative initiatives.
• Maintain a collegial and team-focused work environment while supporting work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine (within 5 years of residency).
• California medical license or eligibility to obtain one.
• Willingness to provide 24/7 in-house coverage.
• Clean malpractice and medical license history preferred.
• Residency or relocation to the local area required.

Working Hours

Varied shifts with likely daytime clinical hours and possible off-hours or weekend coverage (specific schedule not stated).
