SOUTHERN CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER POSITION

The Medicus Firm is proud to conduct a national search for a Chief Medical Officer for two community hospitals, located in a midsized Texas city. The CMO is a new position for these facilities, with 450 beds combined.

The 2 hospitals are part of a national healthcare system that operate 36 hospitals nationwide. The ideal candidate will be an energetic physician leader focused on quality, patient safety, patient experience and physician engagement. The regional CMO will play a key role in quality and safety alignment among the medical staff of 215 providers.

Major responsibilities include:

  • As a member of the executive team, the CMO oversees matters of medical care, medical staff affairs, patient safety, quality, liability risk, and case management.
  • Directly responsible for credentialing, quality assurance, medical education.
  • Fosters physician engagement and alignment among the medical staff and serves as a liaison between the medical staff and the executive team.
  • Ensures regulatory preparedness and resource utilization across all departments.
