Associate Clinical Director of Surgical Services (ACD)
South Jersey

Ready to take the next step in your perioperative nursing career?

Join a leading South Jersey healthcare organization where you can make a meaningful impact on surgical services while growing your leadership skills.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced OR nurse with a strong scrub and circulate background who is ready to step into leadership—or an established charge nurse, supervisor, or manager looking to advance their career.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Work in a premier surgical environment: Support a Level I Adult Trauma Center and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center.

  • Complex, high-volume cases: Be part of a 30-OR surgical department performing more than 70 surgeries daily.

  • Leadership development: Help guide, mentor, and develop perioperative nursing staff while building your leadership experience.

  • Career growth: Join a growing surgical services team with opportunities for professional development and advancement.

  • Competitive compensation: Earn $52–$86/hour, depending on experience.

  • Collaborative culture: Encourage shared decision-making, support staff development, and contribute to a culture focused on patient safety and quality care.

What You'll Do

  • Partner with the Clinical Director to oversee daily perioperative operations and ensure high-quality patient care.

  • Coach, mentor, and support nursing staff while promoting professional growth and clinical competency.

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling needs, performance evaluations, and staff development.

  • Promote patient safety, regulatory compliance, and quality improvement initiatives.

  • Monitor operational efficiency, equipment readiness, and resource utilization.

  • Help foster a positive team environment that values collaboration and shared decision-making.

What We're Looking For

  • Current New Jersey RN license.

  • At least 2 years of experience in perioperative support services, with knowledge of OR equipment.

  • Strong operating room experience, ideally with both scrubbing and circulating.

  • Previous charge nurse, supervisor, or management experience is a plus; motivated nurses ready to grow into leadership are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong communication, organizational, problem-solving, and team-building skills.

  • BSN preferred.

Schedule

  • Available scheduling options include five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts.

  • Shift options include 10:00 AM–8:30 PM or 12:00 PM–8:30 PM.

Interested in advancing your career in surgical services? This is an opportunity to build your leadership experience while contributing to a high-performing perioperative team.
