Clinical Magnet, a division of ICON Medical Network, is looking for an experienced Director of Therapy Operations to lead therapy services within a highly respected inpatient rehabilitation hospital.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PT or OT with strong leadership experience who enjoys developing teams, improving clinical operations, and building strong relationships across departments. The therapy team includes a mix of experienced clinicians and newer therapists, making this a key leadership role focused on team development, stability, and continued growth.

About the Role
As the Director of Therapy Operations, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the therapy department while ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. This position works closely with therapy leadership and other hospital departments to support clinical excellence, team development, and positive patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership, direction, and oversight for Therapy Operations
- Develop and support a strong, collaborative therapy team
- Establish and maintain departmental policies, processes, and standards
- Monitor clinical quality, productivity, documentation, and regulatory compliance
- Build strong relationships with nursing, physicians, hospital leadership, and other departments
- Support staff development, education, recruitment, and retention
- Use operational and financial data to support department planning and decision-making
- Stay current with applicable state, federal, and professional standards
- Support a positive patient experience and culture of clinical excellence
- Provide patient care when necessary, but this is primarily a leadership position with no regular patient caseload
Ideal Background
The ideal candidate is a proven therapy leader who has successfully managed a large rehabilitation team and understands the operational and clinical demands of an inpatient rehabilitation setting.
Experience in acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, SNF, or LTACH will be considered.
Qualifications:
- Current state license as a Physical Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist or Occupational Therapist
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited therapy program
- Master's or Doctorate degree in a professional or management discipline preferred
- Minimum 5 years of rehabilitation experience
- Minimum 2 years of management/leadership experience
- Strong track record of leading and developing therapy teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build effective relationships across departments
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or as required by hospital policy
Compensation & Benefits
