A leading community health organization is seeking an experienced Associate Medical Director to provide clinical & administrative leadership in a mission driven, patient centered environment.
The Associate Medical Director will work closely with the Medical Director & Senior Leadership Team to oversee clinical operations, quality improvement, provider management, patient care, and organizational initiatives.
The position is approximately 60% to 80% clinical and 20% to 40% administrative, depending on organizational needs.
Job Responsibilities
• Collaborate with the Medical Director to oversee daily clinical operations
• Lead quality assurance & quality improvement initiatives
• Develop & implement clinical policies, protocols, and best practices
• Mentor, support & recruit medical providers
• Promote interdisciplinary collaboration & patient centered care
• Ensure timely & accurate EMR documentation
• Address clinical concerns, emergencies, and patient or staff issues as needed
• Participate in strategic planning & provider performance management
• Support disaster preparedness & operational continuity
• Monitor & improve quality, patient satisfaction, operational efficiency & financial performance metrics
• Represent the organization at meetings, community events & professional conferences
Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited U.S. residency in a primary care specialty
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in a recognized primary care specialty
• Active or eligible for an unrestricted Hawaii medical license
• Current DEA registration & Hawaii State Narcotics registration, or ability to obtain
• Current BLS certification
• Minimum 5 years of primary care clinical experience
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred
• FQHC experience strongly preferred
Working Hours
🕐 Schedule: Monday through Friday | 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
