Medical Director Veterinarian
Location: Toledo, OH
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-6:00/7:00 PM | No overnight emergency or general on-call duties
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Medical Director Veterinarian to provide exceptional clinical care and lead and mentor the veterinary team. This role combines hands-on medicine with medical leadership, quality improvement, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
Provide wellness, preventive, and sick-patient care for canine and feline patients.
Perform soft tissue, dental, and orthopedic surgeries.
Oversee clinical standards and promote high-quality patient care.
Mentor associate veterinarians, including new graduates.
Collaborate with hospital leadership to support clinical and operational goals.
Help foster a positive, collaborative, and growth-focused team environment.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with veterinary standards.
Qualifications
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree.
Strong clinical veterinary experience with demonstrated leadership ability.
Previous Medical Director or management experience preferred.
Active Ohio Veterinary License or eligibility to obtain one.
