Step into a high-impact Chief Medical Officer (CMO) role serving communities across Antelope Valley and East Kern County, combining 60% direct clinical care with 40% executive leadership. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CMO will oversee licensed medical providers across the organization and play a key role in shaping quality improvement, HEDIS performance, regulatory compliance, clinical operations, and long-term growth. With relocation assistance available and a competitive salary of $320,000–$420,000 annually DOE, this position offers substantial professional impact alongside a comprehensive benefits package.
Job Responsibilities
• Oversee and supervise MDs, DOs, NPs, and PAs across multiple service sites.
• Lead provider meetings, performance reviews, productivity coaching, and clinical development.
• Develop and monitor Quality Improvement initiatives, HEDIS metrics, documentation, coding, and compliance.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on organizational strategy, staffing, operations, and community partnerships.
Qualifications
• Board Certified in a primary care specialty such as Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, or related field.
• Active California medical license or eligibility for immediate licensure.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Minimum 3 years of medical leadership experience.
• FQHC or community health experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to improving healthcare access and outcomes for underserved communities.
Working Hours
• Approximately 3 days/week clinical
• Approximately 2 days/week administrative
