Residency Program Director – Community Psychiatry
1.5 Hours from the South Carolina Coast and 2 Hours from Charlotte and Charleston
Seeking a dynamic Residency Program Director to launch and lead a new Community Psychiatry Residency Program at the state-of-the-art behavioral health facility. Be part of a nationally recognized academic health system and play a pivotal role in shaping the next generation of psychiatrists while expanding access to behavioral health care across South Carolina.

Leadership Responsibilities
- Direct all aspects of residency program development, accreditation, and growth
- Recruit, mentor, and evaluate residents and faculty
- Ensure compliance with ACGME and GME standards
- Oversee curriculum, scholarly activity, and program quality improvement
- Collaborate with Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences
Clinical & Teaching Role
- Provide direct patient care at a single, modern facility
- Supervise and teach residents in both clinical and didactic settings
- Participate in research and academic initiatives
Schedule
- Flexible mix of 20–60% administrative / 40–80% clinical (varies during program development and launch)
Qualifications
- Board-certified in Psychiatry
- Minimum 3 years of academic leadership experience
- Passion for medical education, program building, and community psychiatry
