Medical Director – Psychiatry
Location: Lawrence, Kansas
Compensation: $300,000–$350,000 annually (based on experience)

A leading behavioral health organization in Lawrence, KS is seeking an experienced Psychiatrist to serve as Medical Director. This role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing clinical team while also maintaining a meaningful direct patient care practice. Salary and Benefits
Annual compensation: $300,000–$350,000

Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
No evenings or weekends required unless desired for patient continuity or leadership needs

Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for psychiatric services
Lead a team of psychiatric providers, including employed and contracted psychiatrists
Directly supervise psychiatric nurse practitioners and ensure best-practice standards
Offer mentorship and guidance to medical students, residents, and contracted clinicians
Promote clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency
Maintain a panel of patients and provide direct psychiatric care
Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and program development

Requirements
Active Kansas medical license and DEA
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Previous supervisory or medical leadership experience required
