Why This Role
1–2 weeks/month
Backup call to primary virtual coverage
Consultative MFM; deliveries not required
Ongoing coverage through 2027
No APP or resident supervision
Assignment Details
Dates: January 1, 2027–January 1, 2028
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8a–5p; at least 1–2 weeks/month
Call: Weeknight beeper and 24-hour weekend beeper coverage; backup to primary virtual call
Call response: 20 minutes; final duties based on provider skill set
Coverage: Onsite outpatient clinic and inpatient consultations
Volume: Not specified
Setting: Level II trauma, stroke-certified hospital and clinic
Support: 1 RN, 1.5 MA FTEs, 1 APP, and 3 office staff
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: Approximately 60–90 days
Clinical Details
Required scope: High-risk pregnancy management and consultation with OB physicians
Must perform and interpret ultrasounds, including Level II/targeted studies and fetal echocardiography
Required procedures: Genetic amniocentesis, cervical cerclage, fetal blood sampling, and chorionic villus sampling
Manage hypertensive disorders/HELLP, diabetes, maternal medical comorbidities, placental complications, and multiple gestations
Preferred skills: Delivery capability, intrauterine transfusion, and multifetal pregnancy reduction
Deliveries not required
Requirements
BC in Maternal-Fetal Medicine required
Active AK license required
Ability to perform ultrasounds required
ACLS and BLS
Active DEA
Must be onsite for assignment
