A well-established, community-owned, not-for-profit health system in North Alabama is seeking a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician to help launch and grow a new MFM service line. This is an opportunity to build a program from the ground up while providing much-needed high-risk pregnancy care to a regional population of approximately 175,000.

Opportunity Highlights

  • $500,000 base salary
  • $540,000 first-year financial package before benefits
  • $25,000 sign-on bonus
  • $15,000 relocation assistance
  • No call
  • Approximately 20 patients per day during clinical time
  • Cerner EMR
  • New MFM service with the opportunity to help shape and grow the program
  • Approximately 50% MFM clinical / 50% resident education and faculty responsibilities once the residency program is established
  • Collaborative environment with OB/GYN, Family Medicine, APPs, neonatology, residents, and other specialists

Clinical Scope

  • Outpatient MFM consultations and follow-up
  • Evaluation and management of high-risk pregnancies
  • Detailed obstetric ultrasound and fetal assessments
  • Prenatal diagnosis and counseling
  • Management of maternal medical conditions and fetal complications
  • Multidisciplinary maternal and fetal care planning

Qualifications

  • Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician
  • Minimum 2 years of practice experience
  • Prior teaching experience required
  • Interest in resident education and helping develop a growing academic program
