Henry Ford St. John's Hospital in Detroit is seeking a fellowship-trained Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician for locum coverage beginning January 1, 2027. Candidates interested in locum-to-perm are given first preference and will be prioritized in the review process. Henry Ford Health is one of the most recognized health systems in the Midwest. This is not a fill-in-the-gap locum. It is a genuine long-term opportunity for an MFM physician who wants to evaluate a permanent home before committing.

No deliveries. No GYN surgery. No GYN call. The MFM scope here is clean.

Job Responsibilities

Round on inpatient MFM patients with residents. Provide inpatient consults and phone consultations. Interpret and manage ultrasound services. Supervise residents in high-risk OB clinic at Henry Ford Warren (Tuesday/Thursday half days) when needed. Required procedures: amniocentesis, cerclage including rescue cerclage, external cephalic version. CVS preferred. Level III NICU. 3,000 deliveries annually.

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible MFM. Fellowship trained. MI license or IMLC. Amniocentesis, cerclage, and ECV required. CVS preferred. Credentialing 90-120 days. January 1, 2027 start.

Working Hours

Full time January 1 through approximately January 24, 2027. Monday through Friday 8am to 6pm, nightly weekday call, 24-hour weekend call. Callback is minimal, approximately 1 per call shift if any. After January: recurring twice-monthly coverage Thursday/Friday in-house plus Saturday/Sunday call. $350/hr.
