Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) for an ongoing locum opportunity at an Acute Care Hospital in York, Pennsylvania. This clinic-based position focuses on the evaluation and management of high-risk pregnancies, including ultrasound interpretation, maternal-fetal consultations, and advanced prenatal care. Providers with strong ultrasound diagnostic skills and experience managing complex obstetric conditions are highly preferred. Call coverage is optional but preferred.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasounds, including Level II targeted studies.
• Evaluate and manage complex maternal and fetal conditions throughout pregnancy.
• Perform amniocentesis and provide genetic counseling when appropriate.
• Interpret fetal echocardiography and other prenatal diagnostic studies.
• Collaborate with obstetricians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists.
• Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR.
• Participate in optional night and weekend call coverage as needed.
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License, IMLC Letter of Qualification, or willingness to obtain Pennsylvania licensure.
• Current DEA registration required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum 1 year of Maternal Fetal Medicine experience required.
• Recent Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Strong ultrasound performance and interpretation skills preferred.
• Experience managing high-risk pregnancy conditions, including hypertensive disorders, diabetes, multiple gestation, cardiac, renal, pulmonary, neurological, autoimmune, hematologic/oncologic disorders, and placenta previa/abruption.
Working Hours
• 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM day shifts.
• Ongoing PRN or full-time coverage available.
• Coverage ranging from 1 week per month up to full-time.
• Night and weekend call available but not required.
