Full Time
Permanent Position
Seeking BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician to join perinatal center in Des Moines, Iowa
Position Highlights:
Consultative-only MFM practice
No delivery or surgical responsibilities beyond cerclage procedures
Patient volume of 10–12 per day with focus on quality care
4 clinic/call days per week with 0.5 day administrative time
Call rotation 1:3 with APP support for diabetic patients
Level III perinatal center with Level IIIB NICU
Strong multidisciplinary support including specialty nurses, sonographers, genetic counselors, and diabetic educator
Large referral base with high-risk maternal and fetal cases
Advanced imaging technology and system-wide Epic EMR
Responsibilities:
Provide consultative maternal-fetal medicine care
Manage high-risk pregnancies and fetal conditions
Interpret diagnostic imaging and fetal assessments
Collaborate with obstetrics, neonatology, and multidisciplinary teams
Participate in call coverage
Qualifications:
Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Active Iowa license or ability to obtain
Fetal echocardiography experience preferred
