Job description
We are seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician for a locum opportunity in York, PA. This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no required call, providing a great work-life balance while working in a collaborative clinical environment.
The position focuses on high-risk pregnancy management, ultrasound interpretation, and consultative care.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage complex conditions including:
o Pregnancy-induced hypertension, HELLP syndrome
o Diabetes (Type I, II, gestational)
o Cardiac, pulmonary, renal, neurological, autoimmune, and hematologic disorders
o Placenta previa/abruption and multiple gestations
• Perform and interpret:
o Level II ultrasounds and targeted imaging
o Fetal echocardiography
o Amniocentesis (genetic testing)
• Conduct consultative services and patient evaluations
• Manage approximately 25 patients per day
• Collaborate with RN, MA, and APP support staff
• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania license required (or willing to obtain)
• BLS and DEA required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Strong ultrasound diagnostic skills preferred
• Epic experience preferred
Working Hours
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Coverage: Full-time (open to 1 week/month)
• Call: Not required (preferred but optional)
Skills
• Strong ultrasound interpretation and diagnostic skills
• Experience in consultative maternal-fetal medicine care
• Strong clinical judgment and teamwork
