This well-established hospital is part of a comprehensive healthcare network providing specialized maternal fetal medicine services to the Richmond community. The facility features a Level III nursery, state-of-the-art equipment including GE ultrasound technology, and a dedicated support team including RN clinic educators, sonographers, genetic counselors, and front office staff.
Opportunity:
Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine
Job Details:
• Provide specialized maternal fetal medicine services with office and inpatient coverage
• Manage an average of 27 scheduled patients per day in a 3-exam room setting
• Handle high-risk pregnancies (95% of practice) with minimal low-risk cases (5%)
• Work alongside one other provider in a 2-provider service model with NP support
• Perform required procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cerclage (preferred)
• Manage complex conditions including pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, and chromosomal abnormalities
• Handle congenital abnormalities, pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, and genetic disorders
• Provide care for vaginal and cesarean births with any fetal or maternal co-morbidities
• Utilize EPIC and Viewpoint documentation systems
• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine with completed fellowship
• Requires active Virginia medical license, BLS certification
• AIUM certification preferred
• Self-Query NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation
• On-call responsibilities include weekdays and weekends
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Travel expenses covered including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage reimbursement
