Facility:
This medical center is a well-established healthcare facility that provides comprehensive maternal fetal medicine services to the community. The facility features a modern clinic setting with 3 exam rooms, onsite ultrasound capabilities with GE 10 equipment, and is supported by a dedicated team including RN clinic educator, sonographer, genetic counselor, and front office staff.
Opportunity:
Physician - Maternal Fetal Medicine
Job Details:
• Provide specialized maternal fetal medicine services in both office and inpatient settings
• Handle an average of 27 scheduled patients per day with 95% high risk pregnancies and 5% low risk pregnancies
• Work as part of a 2-provider service covering multiple hospital locations
• Collaborate with 1 nurse practitioner who rotates between sites and Level III nursery services
• Perform required procedures including amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and cerclage (preferred)
• Manage complex maternal-fetal conditions including pre-eclampsia, multiple pregnancies, growth restriction, and chromosomal abnormalities
• Handle congenital abnormalities, pre-term labor, hypertension, thrombophilia, and genetic disorders
• Manage birth defects and any fetal or maternal co-morbidities that make pregnancies high risk
• Provide both vaginal and cesarean birth management
• Utilize EPIC and Viewpoint documentation systems
• Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine with fellowship training
• Active Virginia medical license required along with BLS certification
• AIUM Certification preferred
• Self-Query NPDB report mandatory within 30 days of presentation
• Call responsibilities include weekdays and weekends
• Credentialing timeframe approximately 90 days
• Travel expenses covered including flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rate

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
