This children's hospital is a specialized healthcare facility providing comprehensive maternal-fetal medicine services to the community. The facility is part of a well-established medical group with a focus on high-risk pregnancies and advanced fetal care, offering state-of-the-art technology and a collaborative team environment.
Opportunity:
Board Certified/Eligible - Maternal-Fetal Medicine
Job Details:
• Locum tenens position covering 1 week per month with both clinic and call responsibilities
• See 8-10 patient consults per day plus complete ultrasound reads (up to 40 per day, flexible)
• Fridays structured with 7 ultrasound reads and 3 consults, followed by weekend call
• Clinic hours: 8am-5pm on weekdays (including call responsibility)
• Night call: 5pm-8am on weekdays
• Weekend call: 7am-7am (24-hour call schedule)
• Must have Texas medical license or IMLC license
• Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency
• Texas DEA required
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Experience managing high-risk pregnancies including PIH, HELLP syndrome, diabetes, cardiac disorders, pulmonary disorders, and other complex conditions
• Skilled in managing multiples gestation, placenta previa/abruption, and VBACs
• Proficient in performing and interpreting Level II/Targeted ultrasounds and echocardiography
• Experience with specialized procedures including amniocentesis, cervical cerclage, intrauterine transfusion, chorionic villus sampling, and fetal blood sampling
• Credentialing timeframe is 60-90 days with earliest start date in December
