The Group
You will become the tenth BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine physician in our growing, state-of-the-art program that includes seven full-time and two part-time BC MFM physicians and 3 perinatal NP's. We are part of AdventHealth Medical Group, which employs 900+ physicians in 60+ specialties and is consistently rated as a Top Place to work by organizations like GlassDoor, Forbes and Newsweek.
You will provide expert care in prenatal diagnosis, ultrasound, and MFM consultation in our AIUM-certified practice. You will work with our group of talented sonographers who actively participate in monthly training and a vigorous quality review program.
You will have the opportunity to hone your teaching skills with medical students and our OB/GYN residents. A collaborative team of medical staff, physicians and APPs will round out your office work family.
You will have the support of our Hospital Perinatal Nurse Coordinator and our “Coordinated Care for Kids” program to connect moms-to-be with the right specialists in MFM, OB, neonatology, genetics, and the pediatric subspecialty groups.
Monthly meetings with our neonatology and pediatric colleagues foster a strong relationship between our teams. Occasional opportunities to staff the OB/GYN residency High Risk Obstetric Clinic exist. Experience in fetal echocardiography or CVS is welcomed.
Job Responsibilities
Our practice is 100% consultative with no in-house call or deliveries. You will provide on average 4-5 days per month MFM inpatient consultative coverage with the assistance of our perinatal NP's and OB/GYN residents at the cutting-edge AdventHealth Orlando Hospital. This is Florida’s largest hospital and one of the top 20 hospitals in the nation according to US News in 2025.
During your time on consultative call, you will also provide telemedicine inpatient consultations for the seven local AdventHealth hospitals (collectively accounting for over 12,000 deliveries annually), with an average of two phone calls per day.
At the AdventHealth Orlando Hospital, you will enjoy the support of our Level IV NICU, top-rated in neonatal outcomes in Florida and able to support infants born 22 weeks or later.
The OB hospitalist group provides 24/7 coverage with multiple skilled physicians in-house at any time. The OB hospitalists lead our Placenta Accreta Program, nationally recognized for its excellent outcomes.
Working at our Level IV maternity center, you will have ample opportunities to collaborate with our other amazing teams in various specialties, including a full complement of pediatric specialties, and range of adult specialties including pulmonary hypertension, genetics, oncology, intensive care and transplant medicine, to name a few.
When indicated, pregnancy termination services are available in our system along with our empathetic perinatal palliative care program and complementary outpatient bereavement program.
Expertise in performing cervical cerclages, including ultrasound or exam-indicated cerclages, is a plus.
