Post-Acute Care Physician Opening Tucson, AZ
Full Time | Post-Acute Care / Inpatient Rehabilitation
Position Highlights:
Full-time Post-Acute Care physician opportunity
5-day workweek rounding in an inpatient rehabilitation facility
Provide comprehensive medical care to patients recovering from acute illness, injury, or surgery
Conduct inpatient medical assessments, physical examinations, and reviews of rehabilitation goals
Manage acute and chronic medical conditions throughout the rehabilitation process
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to support recovery
Collaborate with rehabilitation physicians, nursing staff, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
Educate patients and families on recovery, chronic conditions, and preventive care
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
Dedicated night call coverage to support work-life balance
High level of clinical autonomy with supportive leadership
Established training and clinical support infrastructure
Experience in post-acute care preferred but not required
2026 graduates encouraged to apply
Qualifications:
MD or DO
Active Arizona medical license
Active DEA registration
Strong clinical foundation in managing acute and chronic medical conditions
Experience in post-acute care or acute clinical settings preferred
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and clinical documentation standards
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary care teams
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated annual compensation of $260,000-$314,000
Fee-for-service compensation model
