Primary Care Physician (MD/DO) – Veteran Outpatient Clinic | Cookeville, TN (Perm)
Position Overview
We are seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to deliver outpatient primary care to veterans at our Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Cookeville, TN. Working within a dedicated Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT)—including dedicated RN, LPN, and MA support—you will manage a panel of approximately 1,200 patients with a manageable daily workload. Recent residency graduates are encouraged to apply.
Schedule & Workload
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Call/Shift: No nights, no weekends, no on-call
Volume: 10–12 patients per day
Split: 80% patient contact / 20% administrative time (includes dedicated weekly half-day admin block)
Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine (IM) or Family Medicine (FM).
Current, unrestricted medical license (in the state of employment or any valid U.S. state/territory license per VA contract requirements).
Unrestricted DEA registration.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to pass VA credentialing requirements and maintain good standing.
Proficiency with EMR systems and computer navigation.
