Internal Medicine Physician – Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center | Fort Hood, Texas

Storm Physicians, a physician-owned company, is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to provide care at Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center in the Killeen/Fort Hood area of Central Texas.

Join a multidisciplinary team caring for military members, retirees, and eligible family members. This opportunity includes comprehensive adult medicine, management of complex medical conditions, and inpatient consultation. The position may combine outpatient and inpatient responsibilities based on department needs.

Position Highlights

• Full-time opportunity supporting a military healthcare facility.

• Broad clinical practice encompassing acute care, chronic disease management, and complex adult medicine.

• Collaboration with physicians and specialists across multiple disciplines.

• Signing bonus up to $50K, subject to applicable terms.

• Relocation assistance of up to $10,000, subject to eligibility and applicable terms.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat adults with acute and chronic medical conditions.

• Manage complex conditions across cardiovascular, pulmonary, endocrine, gastrointestinal, renal, rheumatologic, hematologic, and infectious disease care.

• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate care with specialists, emergency department clinicians, and other healthcare professionals.
  

• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including laboratory testing, imaging, electrocardiograms, and pulmonary function tests.
  

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).

• Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency.

• Board certification through the American Board of Internal Medicine

• At least two years of post-residency clinical experience within the past three years providing direct patient care in internal medicine.
  

• Current, unrestricted medical license.

• Current DEA registration.

• Current BLS and ALS or ACLS certification.

• U.S. citizenship.

• Ability to meet facility credentialing, privileging, and background screening requirements.
