Job Description:
Client is seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician to provide medical support within a behavioral health facility in Canton, Ohio.
The primary need is physician coverage for medical history and physical examinations (H&Ps) for behavioral health patients. Depending on the physician's experience, availability, and preferences, the role may include direct patient care, clinical supervision, or a combination of both.
This is an opportunity for a physician who enjoys a collaborative, facility-based environment and wants to provide general medical oversight without managing a traditional primary care patient panel.
The physician will provide general medical support for patients receiving behavioral health services, with a primary focus on completing medical H&Ps and identifying medical concerns that may affect treatment or admission.
Client is open to physicians trained in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
The role is intentionally flexible and can be structured around the physician's availability and clinical interests.
Potential responsibilities may include:
Direct medical evaluation and patient care
Medical H&Ps
General medical oversight
Clinical consultation and coordination
FNP supervision
A combination of direct care and supervisory responsibilities
