Job description
Outpatient Internal Medicine locums in Rhode Island with a set weekday schedule and no call, seeing a primarily Medicare, age 65+ patient panel.
Highlights
- No call required.
- Monday through Friday schedule, full time outpatient clinic coverage.
- Manageable daily volume, 16 to 18 patients per day.
- Fast credentialing, target start about 30 days from acceptance.
Practice Setting
- Outpatient clinic setting providing traditional primary care for an older population.
- Patient mix includes diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, mild cognitive impairment, CHF, and coronary artery disease history.
- Support includes nurse practitioners, MA and scribe support, plus clinic RNs.
- Average volume is 16 to 18 patients per day.
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
- Full time coverage required.
- No call.
- Initial assignment is 3 months, strongly prefer 6 months.
Requirements
- Must be an MD or DO.
- Rhode Island license required, will not wait for license.
- Board certified in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
- DEA required.
