Affiliate Physician Partner — Men's Hormone Optimization
Job at a glance
Job description
We're looking for physicians to join Bolt Health as an affiliate provider — either a licensed physician with an established local practice, or a broadly-licensed telemedicine physician with experience prescribing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT). This is not a full-time employment role — it's a flexible partnership designed to:
- Add a new revenue stream to your existing practice through per-visit compensation.
- Bring new patients through your door, many of whom may become long-term patients of your practice for other services.
- Require minimal disruption to your current schedule and operations.
- Offer scheduling flexibility through a hybrid model for clinic-based partners — in-person initial visits with telehealth follow-ups where permitted — or a fully virtual model for broadly-licensed telemedicine partners.
- Provide full training on relevant procedures, protocols, and documentation — no prior experience with hormone optimization required.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct follow-up consultations via teleconference for added flexibility and efficiency
- Perform initial consultations in person at your practice location if you're a clinic-based partner — required in select states per applicable telehealth regulations. Broadly-licensed telemedicine partners may conduct initial consultations virtually in states where regulations permit
- Review relevant lab work prior to each visit, and initiate, titrate, and monitor hormone therapy based on clinical response and follow-up labs
- Prescribe and manage medications, including controlled substances where applicable, in line with the regulations of each state where you're licensed and treating patients
- Care for adult patients only (typically ages 25–65); no pediatric care
- Follow Bolt Health's clinical protocols, developed and overseen by our Medical Director
- Document visits and coordinate basic care details with the Bolt Health clinical team
- Complete a brief onboarding/training program before seeing your first Bolt-referred patient
Qualifications
Clinic-Based Physicians
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license in your state
- An established local practice with the ability to accommodate in-person visits
- Interest in men's health, hormone therapy, or performance/longevity medicine (prior experience is a plus but not required — we provide training)
Telemedicine Physicians
- MD or DO with active, unrestricted medical licenses across multiple states — the broader your licensure footprint, the better (10+ states is a strong plus, and we support obtaining additional state licenses over time)
- Board certified in a relevant specialty (e.g., Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Endocrinology)
- Active DEA registration, plus state controlled-substance registration in any state of licensure that requires one
- Hands-on experience prescribing testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and managing hormone optimization patients
- Comfortable practicing independently in a fully virtual care model, with no in-person patient contact required
- Reliable, patient-focused, and comfortable following standardized clinical protocols (both tracks)
