Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician - Academic Hospital

Join an esteemed academic hospital located in Greater NYC as an Internal Medicine or Family Medicine physician. This role focuses on outpatient primary care and teaching responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Openings due to expansion at a growing institution.
• Large primary care clinic with 15,000 annual visits.
• Schedule generally 5-11 patients per day, with a goal to increase to 15 per day.
• Strong academic environment with medical students, externs, and residency program; residency teaching is an essential part of the role.
• Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 4 PM or 9 AM to 5 PM, with no evening or overnight shifts.
• 13 weekend calls or holiday hospitalist shifts annually required (compensation inclusive of this, not paid as extra).
• Utilizes EPIC EMR system.
• Schedule includes one session (half day) of administrative time.
• Family medicine physicians considered but must be comfortable working with internal medicine residents.
• Compensation package includes $235,000 base salary, $10,000 sign-on bonus, quality bonus up to $10,000, and 30% collections over $225,000 (expect approx. $15,000 from this), totaling $270,000.
• Loan forgiveness in addition to PSLF, qualifying for $120,000 over 3 years ($40,000 per year).

Requirements

• Active NY License.
• Residency Training in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Board Eligibility or Board Certification Required.
• Residents graduating in the next 12 months are encouraged to apply.
• Spanish skills preferred, but not required.
