We have an incredible opportunity for an Internal Medicine Physician near Phoenix, AZ. This is a full-time position with a High Starting salary and a $20K sign-on Bonus! Job Responsibilities
Clinical Care:
Provide a full range of physician services within the scope of clinical privileges granted by the MTF.
Examine, diagnose, and treat patients, and prescribe appropriate courses of treatment consistent with the physician’s training, experience, and clinical privileges.
Provide outpatient medical services to patients as scheduled by the Government.
Provide routine general internal medicine care, including the evaluation and management of acute and chronic medical conditions.
Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergency medical conditions as they arise.
Facilitate patient access to appropriate medical care by recommending referrals to other health care providers in accordance with MTF policies and applicable regulations.
May serve as the Primary Care Manager (PCM) for an assigned panel of patients.
Patient Care Management
When serving as a Primary Care Manager, responsibilities may include:
Managing the overall care of an assigned patient panel.
Reviewing and approving or disapproving subspecialty referrals in accordance with applicable policies and procedures.
Responding to patient telephone consultations with the assistance of clinic staff.
Authorizing and managing prescription refills.
Providing primary and secondary preventive care and health maintenance services.
Coordinating appropriate follow-up care and referrals.
Clinical Leadership & Collaboration
Clinically direct, perform, or assist in the instruction and development of other healthcare professionals within the scope of assigned clinical privileges and responsibilities.
Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals and clinic staff to ensure coordinated and appropriate patient care.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate from an accredited medical school in the United States or Canada. This degree must have been accredited by the Council on Medical Education of the American Medical Association; Association of American Medical Colleges; Liaison Committee on Medical Education; Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation of the American Osteopathic Association, or an accrediting body recognized by the U.S.
Certification: Current board certification/Board eligible is desired. Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Preventive Medicine is preferred but others will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Internship/Residency: Successful completion of an internship and residency
Working Hours
9-hour shift scheduled between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
1-hour lunch break
No call
No weekends or holidays
Skills
The physician must also be capable of performing and/or interpreting applicable clinical procedures and assessments, including, but not limited to:
Electrocardiogram (ECG) interpretation
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Documentation & Quality Assurance
Complete and maintain all medical records, reports, and other required documentation within established timeframes and in accordance with MTF requirements.
Participate in the clinic’s Quality Assurance Program as required.
Maintain compliance with applicable healthcare standards, policies, regulations, and accreditation requirements, including standards established by The Joint Commission
