This Adult Primary Care Locum Tenens position is located in California .
Location: One hour Southeast of Sacramento (Inquire for specific location)
Duration: 3-month contract with the option to extend
Reason for coverage: Provider resignation - need 2 FTE’s
Schedule: 4-5 days per week, 4 weeks per month
Shift: 8a-5p, Monday-Friday
Call: No call. No weekends.
Patient volume: 16-22ppd (Fluid & Flexible)
Scope: Outpatient Internal Medicine
- 40-minute new patient appointments / 20-minute follow-ups
- Predominantly older patient population
- 75–78% of the patient panel is Medicare/Medicaid
- Ages 16 and up
EMR: Athena + Abridge AI (AI scribe)
Hospital: N/A
Group/support: 15-17 providers total – 2 IM, 4 NPs, 2 Peds, 3 Dentists, Behavioral Health
Requirements (boards, license): Board Certified in Internal Medicine; Active CA license
