Take the next step in your career with an exclusive Associate Medical Director opportunity in Honolulu, Hawaii. This full-time leadership position combines meaningful outpatient primary care with clinical operations, provider mentorship, quality improvement, and strategic initiatives in a mission-driven, patient-centered environment.
Working closely with the Medical Director and senior leadership, you’ll have the opportunity to shape clinical programs, mentor providers, improve patient outcomes, and influence organizational growth while maintaining significant clinical involvement. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
Job Responsibilities
• Partner with the Medical Director on provider management, recruitment, and clinical leadership.
• Lead quality assurance and quality improvement initiatives and monitor key performance metrics.
• Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and evidence-based best practices.
• Mentor physicians and clinical staff while promoting interdisciplinary, patient-centered care.
• Support strategic planning, performance management, emergency preparedness, and organizational initiatives.
Qualifications
• Completion of an accredited U.S. residency in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or another recognized primary care specialty.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in a primary care specialty.
• Active or eligible for an unrestricted Hawaii medical license.
• Current DEA and Hawaii State Narcotics registration, or eligibility to obtain.
• Current BLS certification.
• 5+ years of primary care clinical experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• FQHC/community health experience strongly preferred.
Working Hours
• Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
• Approximately 60–80% clinical / 20–40% administrative, based on organizational needs.
• No routine weekend schedule specified.
