Centerpoint Medical Center is seeking board-certified or board-eligible Internal Medicine physicians with Emergency Medicine experience to join our highly collaborative team in Independence, Missouri, just minutes from downtown Kansas City.
This is an exciting time to join our program. Physicians will have the opportunity to practice in our established Level II Trauma Center, help support a new Freestanding Emergency Room opening in 2025, and participate in the launch of our new Emergency Medicine Residency Program in 2026.

Practice Highlights
- 42-bed Emergency Department
- Approximately 65,000 annual patient visits
- 60 hours of physician coverage daily
- 10-hour physician shifts
- Rapid Care Unit open 24/7
- 58 hours of APP coverage Monday through Friday
- 48 hours of APP coverage on weekends
- High-acuity pathology with strong specialty backup
- Opportunities at both the main ED and the new freestanding emergency department
Qualifications
- ABEM or AOBEM Board Certified/Board Eligible; FM or IM BC
- ACLS, ATLS, and PALS certification required
- Eligible for Missouri medical licensure
- Passion for collaborative, patient-centered emergency care
- Interest in education and residency teaching welcomed
