Pay & Benefits

  • Hourly Pay Rate: $1.00 (monthly hours approximately 160)

What You’ll Do

  • Provide inpatient care, including rounding and consultations
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary rounds and communication with referring providers
  • Review hospital diagnostic studies during service weeks
  • Conduct outpatient clinics Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Assess and manage patient follow-ups and care coordination
  • Participate in hospital and outpatient care, ensuring seamless patient management
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient encounters
  • Support long-term patient follow-up with a dedicated panel of cardiology patients

What You Need

  • Valid active supervising license in Louisiana
  • Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine - Cardiology
  • At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience preferred
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently

About the Assignment

This position involves providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology services at a reputable facility in Baton Rouge. The provider will have a scheduled hospital rotation every 5–6 weeks, with the primary focus on patient follow-up, diagnostics, and multidisciplinary collaboration. The ideal candidate will be committed to continuity of care, with a long-term interest in building lasting patient relationships.
