Internal Medicine - Hematology and Oncology Locum Position in Eureka, CA

- Duration: Full-time temporary assignment, ongoing based on need
- Shift: Clinic hours: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm; On-call evenings and weekends
- Hours/Week: 40 hours/week (with pre-approved OT)
- Employment Type: Locum, with licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements included
- License/Certifications: Active California Medical License, DEA, BLS, Board Certified or Eligible in Hematology/Oncology (if applicable)
- Experience: 2+ years inpatient/outpatient oncology experience, case log submission required

What You’ll Do
- Provide inpatient and outpatient Hematology/Oncology care
- Conduct consultations, follow-ups, and rounds in a dual clinic/hospital setting
- Manage chemotherapy treatments and oversee cancer patient care
- Respond to emergent oncology cases during scheduled on-call hours
- Document all patient encounters accurately and timely
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and patient education
- Support resident teaching and clinical protocol adherence
What You Need
Required:- Valid California medical license and DEA registration
- Board Certified or Eligible in Hematology/Oncology (within 3–5 years of residency)
- BLS certification
- 2+ years of inpatient and outpatient oncology experience, with case logs available
- Ability to respond promptly during on-call hours with phone consultation only during nights
Preferred: - Experience in cancer treatment center settings
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills
