Locums to Perm Outpatient Primary Care MD — MD/DO
Location: Siletz, Oregon
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Setting: AAAHC-recognized outpatient Tribal Health clinic
Credentialing Timeline: Approximately four weeks
Pay Rate: $160, all travel, housing and Car Rental covered – Looking for Locum to Perm
Position Summary
A Tribal Health clinic is seeking an experienced Internal Medicine Physician for a locum to perm contract. The physician will provide comprehensive, culturally respectful medical care to Siletz Tribal members, members of other federally recognized tribes, and community patients.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive internal medicine services for adult patients
• See on average 16 patients per day
• Diagnose and treat acute and chronic health conditions
• Conduct physical examinations, wellness visits, and preventive screenings
• Provide women’s health, family-planning,
• Manage diabetes and other chronic diseases
• Administer or order CDC-recommended immunizations
• Provide medication-assisted treatment when appropriately trained
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Coordinate specialty and radiology referrals
• Perform minor outpatient procedures within training and privileges
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Collaborate with pharmacy, behavioral health, nursing, and clinical support teams
Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Active, unrestricted physician license
• Board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS certification
• Outpatient primary care experience
• Ability to provide culturally responsive, patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
• Tribal Health, Indian Health Service, rural health, or community health experience
• Experience treating patients across the lifespan
• Experience using Nextgen EMR
• MAT experience or applicable training
• Experience working with medically underserved communities
Working Hours
• Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Wednesday: 1:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Closed on Tribal holidays
• Same-day appointments for established patients with acute concerns
• Participation in after-hours telephone consultation may be required
