Bon Secours Laburnum Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Physician Provider to join our established and compassionate primary care practice in Richmond, Virginia. Our team has deep roots in the community, with several providers caring for generations of families for more than four decades.

Schedule & Call Responsibilities
Clinic Hours:
- Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM-4:00 PM
Call Schedule:
- Approximately every 5 weeks
- Includes 1 weekend and 3 weekdays per rotation
- Call hours: 5:00 PM-7:00 AM
- Shared coverage among 9 Laburnum providers and 2 providers from the Chickahominy practice
- Most after-hours concerns are appropriately directed to urgent care or emergency services
Patient Volume
- Average of 18-20 patients per day after completion of ramp-up period
Physician Responsibilities
The physician will provide comprehensive primary care services, including:
- Conducting thorough health histories and physical examinations
- Utilizing independent clinical judgment to assess, diagnose, and manage patient care
- Developing individualized treatment plans and identifying health risks
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic studies, including laboratory testing and imaging
- Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Virginia regulations
- Coordinating referrals and collaborating with specialists
- Reviewing laboratory and imaging results and ensuring timely follow-up
- Responding to patient calls and MyChart messages
- Managing prescription refills and patient inquiries
- Providing education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and procedures
- Evaluating patient outcomes and adjusting care plans as needed
- Participating in shared on-call responsibilities
