Job description
We are seeking an Internal Medicine or Family Practice Physician for a permanent position at a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in Oakland, California, serving a diverse community. The ideal candidate is mission-driven to serve this community and can speak an Asian language (Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, etc.) or is open to using interpretation. Please see below for more information.
- FQHC serving more than 50,000 patients across 15 languages
- All-ages patient population; approximately 10-15 patients per day
- Epic EMR
- Assigned to one location within the health center
- Support staff include fellow MD providers, NPs, LVNs, RNs, patient service reps, LCSWs, and LMFTs
- Whole-patient health approach including primary care, mental health, case management, nutrition, and dental care
- Open to new grads; H1B visa potential for candidates who speak an Asian language
Job Responsibilities
- See approximately 10-15 patients per day
- Serve a diverse, multilingual community as part of an FQHC
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary support team
- Utilize interpretation services or Asian language skills as needed
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Active California state license
- Ability to speak an Asian language (Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, etc.) preferred, or openness to using interpretation
- Open to new grads
