Chinese/English Bilingual Internal Medicine Physician
Location: New York, NY
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chinese/English Bilingual Internal Medicine Physician to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient setting. The physician will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to serve a diverse patient population and promote positive health outcomes.
The ideal candidate is committed to delivering exceptional clinical care, emphasizing preventive medicine, and effectively communicating with both English- and Chinese-speaking patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient medical care to adult patients.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate ongoing patient care.
- Conduct preventive health screenings, annual wellness visits, and routine examinations.
- Educate patients and families regarding treatment options, disease management, and preventive healthcare practices.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic medical records (EMR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, specialists, and support staff to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all applicable healthcare regulations, quality standards, and patient privacy requirements.
- Participate in clinical quality improvement initiatives and organizational programs as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Active and unrestricted New York State medical license.
- Fluency in both Mandarin or Cantonese and English.
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide culturally competent care to a diverse patient population.
Preferred
- Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine.
- Previous outpatient or primary care experience.
- Experience serving multilingual and multicultural communities.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
