Why This Role
Many of our patients face significant medical, financial, and social barriers to care. For some, High Rock Internal Medicine is their most consistent connection to healthcare, support, and advocacy.
You will care for patients with complex chronic illnesses, help vulnerable populations navigate their healthcare journeys, and build relationships that often span years or even decades. You will not simply manage diagnoses and medications. You will help people improve their quality of life, overcome obstacles, and achieve better health outcomes.
Why This Practice
- Practice medicine with purpose. Our mission extends beyond treating symptoms. We care for medically complex and underserved patients while helping people achieve healthier, fuller lives.
- Restore clinical autonomy. Your expertise matters here. We trust our physicians to think critically, advocate for their patients, and contribute ideas that improve care delivery.
- Build something that lasts. Through our partnership pathway, physicians have the opportunity to become owners and help shape the long-term future of the practice.
- Receive real mentorship. Our structured onboarding and direct physician mentorship are designed to help new physicians build confidence and thrive in the transition from residency to independent practice.
- Enjoy a sustainable practice. No evening or weekend clinic hours, phone-only call, a stable and collaborative clinical team, and a strong physician voice in practice operations.
Why Now
As we plan for Summer 2027, we are looking for a physician who wants to build a career, serve a community, and grow into a future leader within an independent practice.
Your Role & Impact
As an attending physician, you will lead a collaborative care team within an integrated biopsychosocial model while providing comprehensive primary care to adult patients.
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered primary care
- Build lasting relationships with patients and families
- Manage complex chronic disease populations
- Collaborate with behavioral health and ancillary services
- Participate in practice improvement initiatives
- Serve as a trusted healthcare advocate within the community
- Contribute to the future growth and success of an independent physician-led practice
Integrated services include on-site behavioral health, radiology, and ultrasound, with team-based care coordination. Based on your interests, scope opportunities may include joint injections, office-based dermatologic procedures, podiatric care, and additional in-office procedures.
Compensation & Benefits
- First-year compensation of $180,000, with second-year potential of approximately $190,000+
- Productivity and quality incentives
- Relocation assistance
- Partnership pathway: partnership discussions are based on performance and mutual interest, and partners have historically earned 15 to 20% above base compensation
- Health insurance, dental insurance, malpractice coverage, and CME allowance
- Short-term and long-term disability
- 401(k) eligibility after 12 months
- The Joy Fund: a $500 annual stipend to pursue hobbies, interests, or activities outside of work
Physicians may have access to loan repayment or scholarship opportunities through external programs anticipated to remain available through 2027. These opportunities are not guaranteed and remain subject to eligibility requirements, available funding, and program availability.
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Med-Peds residency training
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Expected residency completion in Summer 2027
- Commitment to compassionate, community-focused care
- Desire to build meaningful patient relationships
- Interest in practicing within an independent physician-owned environment
If you are looking for more than your first attending job, a place where you can grow as a physician, build meaningful patient relationships, and help preserve the future of independent medicine, we encourage you to explore a future with High Rock Internal Medicine.
