Job description
Seeking 1 Medical Director to provide comprehensive clinical care in skilled nursing facilities in Anchorage, Alaska. The physician will serve as Medical Director for assigned sites, ensuring high-quality, evidence-based patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective interdisciplinary coordination.
Job Responsibilities
• Serve as Medical Director for assigned facilities
• Evaluate and examine patients regularly
• Order, interpret, and document diagnostic tests
• Diagnose medical conditions using evidence-based medicine
• Develop and implement treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and therapies
• Educate patients and families on treatment and preventive care
• Coordinate referrals to specialists when needed
• Manage medical supplies and clinical resources
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of clinical documentation daily
• Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations
Qualifications
• Active Alaska medical license (or ability to obtain)
• Board Certified / Board Eligible – Preferred
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility or post-acute care – Preferred
• Strong clinical decision-making skills
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
