This prestigious organ transplant and liver center is known for providing comprehensive care to transplant patients. The facility features a 10-bed department with advanced medical technology and a collaborative approach to patient care, ensuring excellent outcomes for complex transplant cases.
Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Nephrology
Job Details:
• Locum tenens position requiring one week of coverage per month starting ASAP
• Taking call for 7 days (Monday 8am - Monday 8am)
• Consult on post-kidney transplant patients
• Write dialysis orders and manage kidney-specific needs
• Consult on liver patients that need nephrology input
• Provide clinic coverage if candidate is a transplant nephrologist
• Receive phone calls from physicians, ERs, and outside hospitals to provide advice on immunosuppression management
• Handle 3-5 patient encounters per shift
• Must be board certified in Nephrology
• Management of post-renal transplants preferred
• Renal biopsy experience preferred
• Hemodialysis catheter placement preferred
• Peritoneal dialysis experience preferred
• Must have BLS certification
• Must have active Washington state license or IMLC
• Credentialing timeframe is 30-90 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
