This primary care practice is part of a well-established healthcare network that provides comprehensive medical services to the community. The facility features 6 exam rooms with on-site laboratory services, POC testing, and phlebotomy capabilities, ensuring efficient patient care in a supportive environment.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Family Practice Physician
Job Details:
• Locum tenens coverage needed from December 2025 to mid-January 2026 • Schedule consists of 3 eight-hour shifts weekly • Average of 20 patients per day • No call responsibilities required • Serve diverse patient population including adult, pediatric, newborn, and geriatric patients • Perform adult outpatient care without ICU/CCU responsibilities • Provide newborn care (=2000 gms) and general outpatient pediatric services • Conduct pelvic exams and Pap smears (helpful but not required) • Perform minor procedures including suturing of minor lacerations and incision & drainage • Address uncomplicated adult psychiatric needs with behavioral health provider on site • Epic EMR system utilized for documentation • No responsibilities for ED backup or in-house codes • Practice located in rural area in Southern Virginia • Must maintain active Virginia medical license • Board certification required with current BLS certification • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30-45 days
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
