A healthcare facility for a large, non-profit, self-funded union/multi-employer benefit plan is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician to join a relaxed, collegial, friendly, and supportive care team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday - Friday
- Hours: 8:30 - 4:30pm
- Setting: Outpatient Office
- Patient Load: 8 Patients per day
- No night or call responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat a variety of common medical conditions.
- Manage chronic conditions, monitor patients' progress, and adjust treatment plans as needed to maintain optimal health.
- Educate patients about their health conditions and help them understand their treatment options, medications, and lifestyle modifications.
- Conduct regular physical examinations to assess a patient's overall health and detect early signs of diseases or health issues.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including monitoring potential side effects and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Treat common acute illnesses, injuries, and infections
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records to ensure continuity of care and coordination with other healthcare providers.
- Perform other duties, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Primary Care practicing experience
- BC in Internal Medicine
- NY State Medical License
- MD/DO from an American Medical School
- Authorization to work in the United States
