Position Highlights
- Location: Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan (Upper Peninsula)
- Setting: Outpatient-only or mix with inpatient (hospitalist) work optional
- Practice Type: Well-established primary care group near hospital
- Reason for Opening: Community need + upcoming retirements
- Start Date: As soon as available
- Schedule:
- Traditional M–F, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Flexible options: 4-day workweek or modified schedule with hospitalist shifts
- Optional Inpatient Work:
- 7–8 days/month or one weekend/month as a hospitalist
- Call:
- Backup phone call only – no more than 5 days/month
- Support:
- Full hospital medicine team
- 3 clinic locations within 2 blocks of the hospital
- Population: Adults and geriatrics
- Services:
- Preventive care, chronic disease management, acute care
- Full spectrum internal medicine
- Optional inpatient work for those interested
- MD or DO (U.S. or foreign equivalent)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Completion of Internal Medicine residency or fellowship
- Eligible for unrestricted Michigan medical license and Controlled Substance License
