Internal Medicine Physician opening in Muscatine, IA

  • 1 hour from Cedar Rapids and 30 minutes from Quad Cities
Job Description: Average of 15-18 patients per day; no nights or weekends, 4.5 day work week 1:6 Nursing Home Call with a group of 8-9 providers Dedicated roomer, shared phone nurse, attached to the hospital with lab and x-ray Office services & procedures: POCT HgbAC1, INR Clinic, AWV, physicals, vaccines, procedures specific to your comfort level Ability to work as a team member to improve the health of the people and communities we serve Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care Patient-focused, friendly and willing to collaborate in a team environment Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical, and problem-solving skills Established team of 3 physicians, 1 Advanced Practitioner and 1 Advanced Practitioner in Nursing Home Opportunity to practice outpatient medicine in an established and well-known clinic Cohesive group of colleagues and supportive staff allowing for autonomy while building the practice according to your preferences Experienced staff, both clinical and non-clinical who know the patients and the community Full-time position including dedicated administrative time, with flexible scheduling to ensure sufficient patient access Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination Qualifications: MD or DO Board Certified Internal Medicine and Geriatric experience preferred, Family Medicine w/ adult medicine experience considered Hold an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the Advanced Practitioners field of practice Eligible to work in the United States J-1 & H1B Sponsorship Available Compensation and Benefits: Initial 2-year salary guarantee with ability to exceed on an innovative compensation program Attractive incentive package A competitive Total Rewards program offers benefits that align with your needs and priorities, no matter what stage of life you are in.
